Uniprot Description

AMICA1: an adhesion molecule that may function in the migration of leukocytes through epithelial and endothelial tissues. Expressed at the plasma membrane of polymorphonuclear leukocytes, it mediates adhesive interactions with CXADR, a protein of the junctional complex of epithelial cells. Enhances myeloid leukemia cell adhesion to endothelial cells. Up-regulated upon retinoic acid, Me2SO and PMA treatment in differentiating myeloid leukemia cells. Three alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Protein type: Cell adhesion; Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 11q23.3

Cellular Component: plasma membrane; tight junction

Molecular Function: cell adhesion molecule binding; integrin binding; protein homodimerization activity

Biological Process: gamma-delta T cell activation; heterophilic cell adhesion; leukocyte migration; neutrophil chemotaxis; positive regulation of epithelial cell proliferation involved in wound healing; regulation of immune response

Product Notes

The JAML/AMICA1 jaml (Catalog #AAA2543244) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse anti Human JAML/AMICA1 Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's JAML/AMICA1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). ELISA: 0.5-1 mug/mL. This antibody can be used at 0.5-1 mug/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human JAML. The detection limit for Human JAML is approximately 0.039 ng/well. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the JAML/AMICA1 jaml for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "JAML/AMICA1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
