Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Related Product Information for anti-IL25 antibody
Recently, a number of cytokines belonging to the interleukin (IL)-17 family have been identified. These are termed as IL-17B, IL-17C (1) and IL-17E (2). IL-17 is a potent proinflammatory cytokine that plays roles in a number of diseases including rheumatoid arthritis (3), multiple sclerosis (4), and promotion of tumor growth (5). IL-17B, C, and E like IL-17 are able to induce proinflammatory responses. However, they do not bind to the IL-17 receptor suggesting that additional IL-17R related receptor might exist. Receptor for IL-17B and IL-17E has been independently isolated by Shi, et al (6) and Lee, et al. (2) and has been designated as EV127 (in mouse) and IL-17Rh1 (in human), respectively. IL-17E induces activation of NF-kB pathway and like IL-17 also induces production of IL-8.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that shares sequence similarity with interleukin 17. This cytokine can induce NF-kappaB activation, and stimulate the production of interleukin 8. Both this cytokine and interleukin 17B are ligands for the cytokine receptor IL17BR. Studies of a similar gene in mice suggest that this cytokine may be a pro-inflammatory cytokine favoring the Th2-type immune response. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2010]

Uniprot Description

IL25: Induces activation of NF-kappa-B and stimulates production of the proinflammatory chemokine IL-8. Proinflammatory cytokine favoring Th2-type immune responses. Belongs to the IL-17 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Secreted; Cytokine; Secreted, signal peptide

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 14q11.2

Cellular Component: extracellular space

Molecular Function: cytokine activity; interleukin-17E receptor binding

Biological Process: response to fungus; inflammatory response to antigenic stimulus; response to nematode; eosinophil differentiation; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter

Product Notes

The IL25 il25 (Catalog #AAA600839) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Interleukin 17E (IL-17E) reacts with E Coli, Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Interleukin 17E can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable use in ELISA and Western Blot. Dilution: Western Blot: 2ug/ml. In mouse tetses, a ~16kD band is detected. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL25 il25 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Interleukin 17E, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
