Applicable Applications for anti-IL17C antibody
ELISA (EL/EIA), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
Application Notes
Suitable for use in ELISA and Flow Cytometry.
Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 25ug/ml; 10ul labels 1-5x10e5 Tramp-C1 cells in a total reaction volume < 200ul. For intracellular staining to detect IL-17C, cells must first be fixed and permeabilized using 4% paraformaldehyde, 0.1% saponin in PBS. The binding of unlabeled monoclonal antibodies may be visualized by adding a secondary developing reagent such as anti-rat IgG (FITC).
Immunogen
Recombinant corresponding to aa15-194 of mouse IL-17C expressed in E. coli.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degree C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a T cell-derived cytokine that shares the sequence similarity with IL17. This cytokine was reported to stimulate the release of tumor necrosis factor alpha and interleukin 1 beta from a monocytic cell line. The expression of this cytokine was found to be restricted to activated T cells. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

IL17C: Stimulates the release of tumor necrosis factor alpha and IL-1-beta from the monocytic cell line THP-1. Belongs to the IL-17 family.

Protein type: Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide; Cytokine

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16q24

Cellular Component: extracellular space

Product Notes

The IL17C il17c (Catalog #AAA600337) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Interleukin 17C (IL-17C) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Interleukin 17C can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL17C il17c for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Interleukin 17C, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
