Preparation
This antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, recombinant Human IL7/IL-7/Interleukin-7 (rh IL7/IL-7/Interleukin-7). The IgG fraction of the cell culture supernatant was purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Preparation and Storage
This antibody can be stored at 2-8 degree C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Preservative-Free. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Related Product Information for anti-IL7 antibody
IL7, also known as interleukin 7, is a hematopoietic growth factor that belongs to the IL-7/IL-9 family. It is secreted by stromal cells in the bone marrow and thymus. IL7 stimulates the proliferation of lymphoid progenitors. It is important for proliferation during certain stages of B-cell maturation. IL7 and the hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) form a heterodimer that functions as a pre-pro-B cell growth-stimulating factor. It is found to be a cofactor for V(D)J rearrangement of the T cell receptor beta (TCRbeta) during early T cell development. IL7 can be produced locally by intestinal epithelial and epithelial goblet cells and may serve as a regulatory factor for intestinal mucosal lymphocytes.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine important for B and T cell development. This cytokine and the hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) form a heterodimer that functions as a pre-pro-B cell growth-stimulating factor. This cytokine is found to be a cofactor for V(D)J rearrangement of the T cell receptor beta (TCRB) during early T cell development. This cytokine can be produced locally by intestinal epithelial and epithelial goblet cells, and may serve as a regulatory factor for intestinal mucosal lymphocytes. Knockout studies in mice suggested that this cytokine plays an essential role in lymphoid cell survival. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. Additional splice variants have been described but their presence in normal tissues has not been confirmed.[provided by RefSeq, Dec 2010]

Product Notes

The IL7 (Catalog #AAA8105833) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-IL-7 Antibody, Mouse Monoclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's IL-7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA) (Cap). ELISA (Cap): This antibody will detect Human IL7/IL-7/Interleukin-7 in ELISA pair set. In a sandwich ELISA, it can be used as capture antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IL-7, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
