NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
IGHA1: Ig alpha is the major immunoglobulin class in body secretions. It may serve both to defend against local infection and to prevent access of foreign antigens to the general immunologic system. A chromosomal aberration involving IGHA1 is found in multiple myeloma (MM) cell lines. Translocation t(1;14)(q21;q32) that forms a FCRL4-IGHA1 fusion protein.
Protein type: Immunoglobulin superfamily
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 14q32.33
Cellular Component: external side of plasma membrane; extracellular region; extracellular space
Molecular Function: antigen binding
Biological Process: antibacterial humoral response; B cell receptor signaling pathway; complement activation, classical pathway; glomerular filtration; innate immune response; phagocytosis, engulfment; phagocytosis, recognition; positive regulation of B cell activation; receptor-mediated endocytosis; retinal homeostasis

Product Notes
The IGHA1 igha1 (Catalog #AAA439405) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The IgA (Immunoglobulin Alpha Heavy Chain) (B-Cell Marker) Mouse Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's IgA (Immunoglobulin Alpha Heavy Chain) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Formalin. Flow Cytometry (1-2ug/million cells in 0.1ml) Immunofluorescence (0.5-1.0ug/ml 30 min RT) Immunohistochemistry (Formalin-fixed) (0.5-1.0ug/ml 30 min RT) (Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IGHA1 igha1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IgA (Immunoglobulin Alpha Heavy Chain), Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
