NCBI Description

receptor for atrial natriuretic peptide [RGD]

Uniprot Description

ANPA: natriuretic peptide receptor A, which mediates natriuretic, diuretic, and vasorelaxing actions of the natriuretic peptides. Contains five functional domains: an extracellular ligand-binding domain, a single membrane-spanning region, and intracellularly a protein kinase homology domain, a helical hinge region involved in oligomerization, and a carboxyl-terminal guanylyl cyclase catalytic domain. Belongs to the adenylyl cyclase class-4/guanylyl cyclase family. Has guanylate cyclase activity on binding of ANF. Hypertensive SHR Rat has polymorphism at the locus. Human non-coding polymorphisms can alter expression up to two-fold, and have been associated with hypertension. A coding SNP is associated with hypertension and myocardial infarction.

Protein type: Protein kinase, dual-specificity (receptor); Receptor, misc.; Kinase, protein; Lyase; Protein kinase, RGC; Guanylyl cyclase; Membrane protein, integral; EC 4.6.1.2; Nucleotide Metabolism - purine; RGC group; RGC family

Cellular Component: plasma membrane; integral to membrane; receptor complex

Molecular Function: protein binding; guanylate cyclase activity; GTP binding; hormone binding; natriuretic peptide receptor activity; peptide hormone binding; protein kinase binding; ATP binding; protein kinase activity

Biological Process: cGMP biosynthetic process; cell surface receptor linked signal transduction; positive regulation of cGMP biosynthetic process; negative regulation of smooth muscle cell proliferation; regulation of blood pressure; receptor guanylyl cyclase signaling pathway; regulation of blood vessel size; protein amino acid phosphorylation; dopamine metabolic process

Product Notes

The Npr1 npr1 (Catalog #AAA609530) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Guanylate Cyclase, Soluble (sGC) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Guanylate Cyclase, Soluble can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Npr1 npr1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Guanylate Cyclase, Soluble, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
