Mouse anti-Human, Mouse Glutamate/Aspartate Transporter 2 Monoclonal Antibody | anti-SLC1A2 antibody
Glutamate/Aspartate Transporter 2 (GLT1, EAAT2, Excitatory Amino Acid Transporter 2) (MaxLight 650)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western Blot analysis in mouse brain lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to PVDF membranes and probed with MBS632847 (0.5ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using an IgG (HRP) Goat anti-mouse and chemiluminescence detection system. Arrow indicates Glutamate/Aspartate Transporter 2 (~62kD).)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of a family of solute transporter proteins. The membrane-bound protein is the principal transporter that clears the excitatory neurotransmitter glutamate from the extracellular space at synapses in the central nervous system. Glutamate clearance is necessary for proper synaptic activation and to prevent neuronal damage from excessive activation of glutamate receptors. Improper regulation of this gene is thought to be associated with several neurological disorders. Alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been identified. Product Notes
The SLC1A2 slc1a2 (Catalog #AAA6246754) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Glutamate/Aspartate Transporter 2 (GLT1, EAAT2, Excitatory Amino Acid Transporter 2) (MaxLight 650) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Glutamate/Aspartate Transporter 2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SLC1A2 slc1a2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Glutamate/Aspartate Transporter 2, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
