Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degree C with the addition of glycerol. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Do not freeze alkaline phosphatase conjugates which could result in a substantial loss of enzymatic activity. Light sensitive.

Testing Data

(Rescue of the JNK pathway by expression of wild-type Gab1 in Gab1-/- cells. Gab1-/- cells were transiently transfected with 1, 2, or 4 of the expression construct for human Gab1 cDNA, using the GenePORTER 2 transfection reagent (Gene Therapy Systems Inc.). After incubation, the cells were irradiated with UV-B light at 400 J/m2 or left untreated. Exogenous expression of Gab1 in transfected cells was confirmed by anti-Gab1 immunoblot analysis with wild-type cells as positive control. +/+, wild-type cells; -/-, Gab1-/- cells. (Mol. Cell. Biol. 2004 Feb 15;24 (4):1531-1539))

Related Product Information for anti-Gab1 antibody
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the IRS1-like multisubstrate docking protein family. It is an important mediator of branching tubulogenesis and plays a central role in cellular growth response, transformation and apoptosis. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Product Notes

The Gab1 gab1 (Catalog #AAA6120829) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Gab1 (GAB1, GRB2-associated-binding protein 1, GRB2-associated binder 1, Growth factor receptor bound protein 2-associated protein 1) (AP) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Gab1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). ELISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:200-1000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Gab1 gab1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Gab1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
