Related Product Information for anti-DsbA antibody
Entrez Summary: Disulphide oxidoreductase (DsbA) is the major oxidase responsible for generation of disulfide bonds in proteins of E Coli envelope. It is a member of the thioredoxin superfamily. DsbA introduces disulfide bonds directly into substrate proteins by donating the disulfide bond in its active site Cys30-Pro31-His32-Cys33 to a pair of cysteines in substrate proteins. DsbA is reoxidized by dsbB. It is required for pilus biogenesis.

Uniprot Description

Required for disulfide bond formation in some periplasmic proteins such as PhoA or OmpA. Acts by transferring its disulfide bond to other proteins and is reduced in the process. DsbA is reoxidized by DsbB. Required for pilus biogenesis. PhoP-regulated transcription is redox-sensitive, being activated when the periplasm becomes more reducing (deletion of dsbA/dsbB, treatment with dithiothreitol). MgrB acts between DsbA/DsbB and PhoP/PhoQ in this pathway.

Product Notes

The DsbA dsba (Catalog #AAA475026) is an Antibody produced from Mouse Source: E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-DsbA-tag Mouse mAb reacts with E Coli and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DsbA-tag can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB-Re). WB: 1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DsbA dsba for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DsbA-tag, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
