Mouse anti-Human Collagen, Type IV Monoclonal Antibody | anti-COL4A1 antibody
Anti-Collagen, Type IV antibody (monoclonal)
Background: Collagen IV is comprised of a third chain(alpha-3) together with the 2 classical ones, alpha-1 and alpha-2. COL4A3 gene is localized to 2q36-q37 by analysis of somatic cell hybrids and by in situ hybridization. The alpha-3 chain of type IV collagen induces autoimmune Goodpasture syndrome. Mutations in the COL4A4 and COL4A3 genes cause familial benign hematuria.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes the major type IV alpha collagen chain of basement membranes. Like the other members of the type IV collagen gene family, this gene is organized in a head-to-head conformation with another type IV collagen gene so that each gene pair shares a common promoter. The COL4A1 col4a (Catalog #AAA175055) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Collagen, Type IV antibody (monoclonal) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Collagen, Type IV can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Formalin. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the COL4A1 col4a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Collagen, Type IV, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
