May be stored at 4 degree C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4 degree C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Freezing APC conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. APC conjugates are sensitive to light.
Related Product Information for anti-CLEC4D antibody
CLEC4D (C-type lectin domain family 4 member D), also known as CLCSF8, CLEC-6, and MCL, is a 30kD type II transmembrane (TM) glycoprotein that belongs to the CLR (C-type Lectin Receptor) family of molecules. It is synthesized as a 215aa protein that contains a 17aa N-terminal cytoplasmic domain, a 21aa TM segment, and a 177aa C-terminal extracellular region. The extracellular region shows a short stalk and a 118aa CRD (carbohydrate recognition domain). The nature of its carbohydrate ligand is unknown. CLEC4D is restricted to monocytes/macrophages and serves as an endocytic receptor. Homodimers and homotrimers form on the cell surface. The human CLEC4D extracellular region shares 63% aa sequence identity with the mouse extracellular region.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the C-type lectin/C-type lectin-like domain (CTL/CTLD) superfamily. Members of this family share a common protein fold and have diverse functions, such as cell adhesion, cell-cell signalling, glycoprotein turnover, and roles in inflammation and immune response. This gene is closely linked to other CTL/CTLD superfamily members on chromosome 12p13 in the natural killer gene complex region. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

CLEC4D: Functions as an endocytic receptor. May be involved in antigen uptake at the site of infection, either for clearance of the antigen, or for processing and further presentation to T cells.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 12p13.31

Cellular Component: integral to membrane

Molecular Function: carbohydrate binding

Biological Process: innate immune response

Product Notes

The CLEC4D clec4d (Catalog #AAA609773) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CLEC4D (C-type Lectin Domain Family 4, Member D, C-type Lectin Superfamily Member 8, C-type Lectin-like Receptor 6, CLEC-6, CLECSF8, MCL) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CLEC4D can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CLEC4D clec4d for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CLEC4D, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
