Mouse anti-Human CDKN1C Monoclonal Antibody | anti-CDKN1C antibody
CDKN1C Antibody
the maternal allele. The encoded protein is a tight-binding, strong
inhibitor of several G1 cyclin/Cdk complexes and a negative
regulator of cell proliferation. Mutations in this gene are
implicated in sporadic cancers and Beckwith-Wiedemann syndorome,
suggesting that this gene is a tumor suppressor candidate. Three
transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found
for this gene.

NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene is imprinted, with preferential expression of the maternal allele. The encoded protein is a tight-binding, strong inhibitor of several G1 cyclin/Cdk complexes and a negative regulator of cell proliferation. Mutations in this gene are implicated in sporadic cancers and Beckwith-Wiedemann syndorome, suggesting that this gene is a tumor suppressor candidate. Three transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2010]
Uniprot Description
p57Kip2: Potent tight-binding inhibitor of several G1 cyclin/CDK complexes (cyclin E-CDK2, cyclin D2-CDK4, and cyclin A-CDK2) and, to lesser extent, of the mitotic cyclin B-CDC2. Negative regulator of cell proliferation. May play a role in maintenance of the non- proliferative state throughout life. Expressed in the heart, brain, lung, skeletal muscle, kidney, pancreas and testis. High levels are seen in the placenta while low levels are seen in the liver. Belongs to the CDI family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The CDKN1C cdkn1c (Catalog #AAA9200337) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 34-64. The CDKN1C Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CDKN1C can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB~~1:100~500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CDKN1C cdkn1c for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CDKN1C, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
