Related Product Information for anti-CD9 antibody
CD9 is a 24 kD type III transmembrane protein also known as tetraspanin, MRP-1 and DRAP-24. It is a member of the tetraspan family (spanning the membrane four times) found on platelets, B cell progenitors, activated lymphocytes, granulocytes, endothelial cells and epithelial cells. CD9 induces adhesion, platelet aggregation, and B cell development. CD9 has been shown to associate with CD63, CD81, CD82, and CD36 and to bind to beta1 integrins.

Uniprot Description

Integral membrane protein associated with integrins, which regulates different processes, such as sperm-egg fusion, platelet activation and aggregation, and cell adhesion (PubMed:8478605, PubMed:14575715, PubMed:18541721). Present at the cell surface of oocytes and plays a key role in sperm-egg fusion, possibly by organizing multiprotein complexes and the morphology of the membrane required for the fusion (). Acts as a receptor for PSG17 (). Involved in platelet activation and aggregation (PubMed:18541721). Regulates paranodal junction formation (). Involved in cell adhesion, cell motility and tumor metastasis (PubMed:8478605, PubMed:7511626).

Product Notes

The CD9 cd9 (Catalog #AAA2553886) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Human CD9 Monoclonal Antibody (Biotin Conjugated) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD9 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is <=0.5 ug per 10e6 cells in 100 ul volume or 100 ul of whole blood. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD9 cd9 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD9, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
