Related Product Information for anti-CD268/BAFF-R antibody
Mouse anti Chicken CD268 / BAFF-R, clone 2C4, recognises the chicken homologue of human BAFF-R, known also as CD268 and TNFRSF 13C, a cell surface antigen expressed by avian B-cells. Chicken BAFF-R (B cell activating factor receptor) differs from mammalian BAFF-R in that it is produced in B-cells (Reddy et al. 2008) and is not expressed by chicken T-cells. In addition to chicken, clone 2C4 has been shown to cross react with several other commercially important avian species and as such is a specific marker of B-cells for research in domestic galliforms. Clone 2C4 is unique in that it can be used in formalin fixed paraffin embbeded tissues and is therefore of particular use on sections from infection studies.

Product Notes

The CD268/BAFF-R (Catalog #AAA224838) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MOUSE ANTI CHICKEN CD268 / BAFF-R reacts with Chicken and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD268/BAFF-R can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Formalin/Paraffin, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Immunohistochemistry: This product does not require protein digestion pre-treatment of paraffin sections. This product does not require antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD268/BAFF-R for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD268/BAFF-R, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
