Related Product Information for anti-CD117 antibody
The 2B8 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD117, also known as c-Kit receptor, Steel factor receptor and stem cell factor receptor. A member of the tyrosine kinase receptor family, this 145 kDa molecule is expressed by a majority of hematopoietic progenitor cells characterized in the mouse bone marrow as a small subset of cells positive for Sca-1 and Thy1 and negative for lineage markers. The interaction of the mouse c-kit receptor and steel factor promotes the proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic progenitor cells. CD117 is also expressed by mast cells and plays a role in signaling and activation of these cells.

Product Notes

The CD117 (Catalog #AAA5309333) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CD117 antibody (FITC) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD117 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). FC/FACS: 5 ul (0.5 ug)/test A test is defined as the amount (ug) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 ul. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 105 to 108 cells/test. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD117 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD117, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
