Preparation and Storage
This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20 degree C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8 degree C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20 degree C.

Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.

Related Product Information for anti-CCL13 antibody
Mouse anti Human CCL13 antibody, clone B16-3D8, recognizes CCL13, a member of the CC family of cytokines. CCL13, also known as MCP-4, is a 98 amino acid (aa) precursor protein which contains a 23 aa hydrophobic signal peptide that is cleaved to the mature form of the protein which is 75aa protein (8kDa). CCL13 is a chemoattractant for various cells including monocytes, T cells, immature dendritic cells and eosinophils (Entiquez & Garcia-Zepeda 2013). It has also been associated with various inflammatory diseases including asthma, arthritis, atherosclerosis and multiple sclerosis (Procaccini et al. 2015). CCL13 can bind to several chemokine receptors (CCR1, CCR2 and CCR3) to elicit chemoattractant responses. It is also known to induce degranulation of eosinophils and the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines.

This biotinylated Mouse anti Human CCL13 antibody, clone B16-3D8 can be used as a detection antibody in a sandwich ELISA with the purified Mouse anti Human CCL13 antibody, clone B06-1G9 as the capture antibody.

NCBI Description

This antimicrobial gene is one of several Cys-Cys (CC) cytokine genes clustered on the q-arm of chromosome 17. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The cytokine encoded by this gene displays chemotactic activity for monocytes, lymphocytes, basophils and eosinophils, but not neutrophils. This chemokine plays a role in accumulation of leukocytes during inflammation. It may also be involved in the recruitment of monocytes into the arterial wall during artherosclerosis. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2014]

Uniprot Description

CCL13: Chemotactic factor that attracts monocytes, lymphocytes, basophils and eosinophils, but not neutrophils. Signals through CCR2B and CCR3 receptors. Plays a role in the accumulation of leukocytes at both sides of allergic and non-allergic inflammation. May be involved in the recruitment of monocytes into the arterial wall during the disease process of atherosclerosis. May play a role in the monocyte attraction in tissues chronically exposed to exogenous pathogens. By IL1/interleukin-1 and TNF. Widely expressed. Found in small intestine, thymus, colon, lung, trachea, stomach and lymph node. Low levels seen in the pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells. Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family.

Product Notes

The CCL13 ccl13 (Catalog #AAA226077) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse anti Human CCL13:Biotin reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CCL13 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). ELISA: 1.0ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCL13 ccl13 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CCL13, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
