NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
CASP3: Involved in the activation cascade of caspases responsible for apoptosis execution. At the onset of apoptosis it proteolytically cleaves poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) at a '216-Asp-|-Gly-217' bond. Cleaves and activates sterol regulatory element binding proteins (SREBPs) between the basic helix-loop- helix leucine zipper domain and the membrane attachment domain. Cleaves and activates caspase-6, -7 and -9. Involved in the cleavage of huntingtin. Triggers cell adhesion in sympathetic neurons through RET cleavage. Heterotetramer that consists of two anti-parallel arranged heterodimers, each one formed by a 17 kDa (p17) and a 12 kDa (p12) subunit. Interacts with BIRC6/bruce. Highly expressed in lung, spleen, heart, liver and kidney. Moderate levels in brain and skeletal muscle, and low in testis. Also found in many cell lines, highest expression in cells of the immune system. Inhibited by isatin sulfonamides. Belongs to the peptidase C14A family.

Product Notes
The Casp3 casp3 (Catalog #AAA668032) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Caspase-3 (Pro and Active) Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human (Predicted Reactivity: Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Caspase-3 (Pro and Active) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western blot analysis: 2-4 ug/ml Immunohistochemical analysis: 5-10 Ug/ml FACS analysis: 0.5-1 ug/10^6 cells. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Casp3 casp3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Caspase-3 (Pro and Active), Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
