Store at -20 degree C for one year. After reconstitution, at 4 degree C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -21 degree C for a longer time.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Related Product Information for anti-ARA9 antibody
Description: Mouse IgG monoclonal antibody for ARA9/AIP detection. Tested with Tested with WB, IHC-P, IHC-F, ICC/IF in Human; Mouse; Rat; Monkey.
Background: AIP, also known as, ARA9 or XAP-2, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the AIP gene. This gene is mapped to 11q13.2. The encoded protein is found in the cytoplasm as part of a multiprotein complex, but upon binding of ligand is transported to the nucleus. AIP may play a positive role in aryl hydrocarbon receptor-mediated signalling possibly by influencing its receptivity for ligand and/or its nuclear targeting. It has been shown that AIP is the cellular negative regulator of the hepatitis B virus (HBV) X protein. AIP mutations may be the cause of a familial form of acromegaly, familial isolated pituitary adenoma (FIPA).

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for aryl hydrocarbons and a ligand-activated transcription factor. The encoded protein is found in the cytoplasm as part of a multiprotein complex, but upon binding of ligand is transported to the nucleus. This protein can regulate the expression of many xenobiotic metabolizing enzymes. Also, the encoded protein can bind specifically to and inhibit the activity of hepatitis B virus. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2014]

Uniprot Description

May play a positive role in AHR-mediated (aromatic hydrocarbon receptor) signaling, possibly by influencing its receptivity for ligand and/or its nuclear targeting.

Product Notes

The ARA9 aip (Catalog #AAA1752231) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-ARA9/AIP Antibody (monoclonal, 10G8) reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat, Monkey and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ARA9/AIP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Frozen/Paraffin, Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF). WB: 0.1-0.5 mug/ml IHC-P: 0.5-1 mug/ml IHC-F: 0.5-1 mug/ml ICC/IF: 2 mug/ml Tested Species: In-house tested species with positive results. By Heat: Boiling the paraffin sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH6.0, for 20mins is required for the staining of formalin/paraffin sections. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ARA9 aip for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ARA9/AIP, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
