Immunohistochemistry (IHC)

(IHC image of CSB-RA001915A0HU diluted at 1:87.5 and staining in paraffin-embedded human liver tissue performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4 degree C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.)

Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)

(Overlay histogram showing A549 cells stained with CSB-RA001915A0HU (red line) at 1:50. The cells were fixed with 70% Ethylalcohol (18h) and then permeabilized with 0.3% Triton X-100 for 2 min. The cells were then incubated in 1x PBS /10% normal goat serum to block non-specific protein-protein interactions followed by primary antibody for 1 h at 4 degree C. The secondary antibody used was FITC goat anti-rabbit IgG (H+L) at 1/200 dilution for 1 h at 4 degree C. Control antibody (green line) was used under the same conditions. Acquisition of >10,000 events was performed.)

NCBI Description

This gene encodes apolipoprotein (apo-) A-II, which is the second most abundant protein of the high density lipoprotein particles. The protein is found in plasma as a monomer, homodimer, or heterodimer with apolipoprotein D. Defects in this gene may result in apolipoprotein A-II deficiency or hypercholesterolemia. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

May stabilize HDL (high density lipoprotein) structure by its association with lipids, and affect the HDL metabolism.CautionThe PDB entries that describe the 3D-structure of this protein have been obsoleted in response to US Office of Research Integrity Notice 2018-07782.

Product Notes

The APOA2 apoa2 (Catalog #AAA7114784) is a Recombinant Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The APOA2 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's APOA2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). WB: 1:500-1:5000 IHC: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the APOA2 apoa2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "APOA2, Monoclonal Recombinant Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
