Related Product Information for anti-ADAMTS10 antibody
ADAMTS10 belongs to the ADAMTS (a disintegrin and metalloproteinase domain with thrombospondin type-1 motifs) family of zinc-dependent metalloproteases. They have been demonstrated to have important roles in connective tissue organization, coagulation, inflammation, arthritis, angiogenesis and cell migration. Mutations in the ADAMTS10 gene may cause autosomal recessive Weill-Marchesani syndrome. The amino acid sequence of human ADAMTS10 is 100%, 96% and 94% identical to that of chimpanzee, dog and mouse.

NCBI Description

This gene belongs to the ADAMTS (a disintegrin and metalloproteinase domain with thrombospondin type-1 motifs) family of zinc-dependent proteases. ADAMTS proteases are complex secreted enzymes containing a prometalloprotease domain of the reprolysin type attached to an ancillary domain with a highly conserved structure that includes at least one thrombospondin type 1 repeat. They have been demonstrated to have important roles in connective tissue organization, coagulation, inflammation, arthritis, angiogenesis and cell migration. The product of this gene plays a major role in growth and in skin, lens, and heart development. It is also a candidate gene for autosomal recessive Weill-Marchesani syndrome. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

ADAMTS10: Metalloprotease that participate in microfibrils assembly. Microfibrils are extracellular matrix components occurring independently or along with elastin in the formation of elastic tissues. Defects in ADAMTS10 are the cause of Weill-Marchesani syndrome 1 (WMS1). WMS1 is a rare connective tissue disorder characterized by short stature, brachydactyly, joint stiffness, and eye abnormalities including microspherophakia, ectopia lentis, severe myopia and glaucoma.

Protein type: Secreted; EC 3.4.24.-; Protease; Secreted, signal peptide; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19p13.2

Cellular Component: extracellular matrix; microfibril

Molecular Function: protein binding; zinc ion binding; metalloendopeptidase activity

Biological Process: proteolysis

Disease: Weill-marchesani Syndrome 1

Product Notes

The ADAMTS10 adamts10 (Catalog #AAA605702) is an Antibody and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's ADAMTS10 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Western Blot: 1ug/ml of recombinant ADAMTS10 under non-reducing conditions only Immunoprecipitation: 25ug/ml from conditioned cell culture medium spiked with recombinant human ADAMTS10 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ADAMTS10 adamts10 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ADAMTS10, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
