Related Product Information for anti-ACTN1 antibody
ACTN1 also known as Actinin, alpha 1. ACTN1 functions as an actin-binding-protein. ACTN1 determines the motility of keratinocytes by regulating the organization of the actin cytoskeleton, focal adhesion, and hemidesmosome proteins complexes, thereby modulating cell speed, lamellipodial dynamics, and directed migration.

NCBI Description
Alpha actinins belong to the spectrin gene superfamily which represents a diverse group of cytoskeletal proteins, including the alpha and beta spectrins and dystrophins. Alpha actinin is an actin-binding protein with multiple roles in different cell types. In nonmuscle cells, the cytoskeletal isoform is found along microfilament bundles and adherens-type junctions, where it is involved in binding actin to the membrane. In contrast, skeletal, cardiac, and smooth muscle isoforms are localized to the Z-disc and analogous dense bodies, where they help anchor the myofibrillar actin filaments. This gene encodes a nonmuscle, cytoskeletal, alpha actinin isoform and maps to the same site as the structurally similar erythroid beta spectrin gene. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Product Notes
The ACTN1 actn1 (Catalog #
AAA200361) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ACTN1 antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ACTN1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ACTN1 actn1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of
"ACTN1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of
the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always
suggest centrifuging these vials
to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to
opening. Please be advised that
certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an
additional dry ice fee may also be
required.
