Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml. Detects phospho-Acetyl CoA Carboxylase (Ser79) in mouse heart cytosolic lysates. Mouse heart cytosolic lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with A0225-05A. Proteins were visualized using an IgG (HRP) goat anti-mouse and a chemiluminescence detection system.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide containing (…SSM[pS]GL), in which [pS] corresponds to phospho-Serine at residue 79 of rat Acetyl CoA Carboxylase (KLH).
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Related Product Information for anti-Acly antibody
Acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC) is a complex multifunctional enzyme system. ACC is a biotin-containing enzyme which catalyzes the carboxylation of acetyl-CoA to malonyl-CoA, the rate-limiting step in fatty acid synthesis. There are two ACC forms, alpha and beta, encoded by two different genes. ACC-alpha is highly enriched in lipogenic tissues. The enzyme is under long term control at the transcriptional and translational levels and under short term regulation by the phosphorylation/dephosphorylation of targeted serine residues and by allosteric transformation by citrate or palmitoyl-CoA. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants divergent in the 5' sequence and encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene.

Uniprot Description

ACLY: ATP citrate-lyase is the primary enzyme responsible for the synthesis of cytosolic acetyl-CoA in many tissues. Has a central role in de novo lipid synthesis. In nervous tissue it may be involved in the biosynthesis of acetylcholine. Homotetramer. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The Acly acly (Catalog #AAA602195) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AcCoA Carboxylase (Ser79), phosphorylated (Azide Free) reacts with Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's AcCoA Carboxylase can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Acly acly for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "AcCoA Carboxylase, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
