Related Product Information for MCL1 elisa kit
Induced myeloid leukemia cell differentiation protein Mcl-1 is a protein belongs to the Bcl-2 family. Alternative splicing occurs at this locus and two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified. The longer gene product (isoform 1) enhances cell survival by inhibiting apoptosis while the alternatively spliced shorter gene product (isoform 2) promotes apoptosis and is death-inducing.

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate MCL1 in samples. An antibody specific for MCL1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyMCL1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for MCL1 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of MCL1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Product Notes

The Cat MCL1 mcl1 (Catalog #AAA284765) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA284765 ELISA Kit recognizes Cat MCL1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Induced myeloid leukemia cell differentiation protein Mcl-1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
