Reactivity
Canine
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of LHR. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between LHR and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between LHR and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
Sequence Length
56
Samples
Serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate
Assay Type
Quantitative Competitive
Sensitivity
1.0 pg/mL
Reactivity Note
No significant cross-reactivity or interference between this antigen and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Intended Uses: This LHR ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Canine LHR. This ELISA kit for research use only!

Principle of the Assay: LHR ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing an anti-LHR antibody and an LHR-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with LHR-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the LHR concentration since LHR from samples and LHR-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-LHR antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by LHR from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind LHR-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The LHR concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes the receptor for both luteinizing hormone and choriogonadotropin. This receptor belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family, and its activity is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylate cyclase. Mutations in this gene result in disorders of male secondary sexual character development, including familial male precocious puberty, also known as testotoxicosis, hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, Leydig cell adenoma with precocious puberty, and male pseudohermaphtoditism with Leydig cell hypoplasia. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Receptor for lutropin-choriogonadotropic hormone (PubMed:11847099). The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylate cyclase (PubMed:11847099).

Product Notes

The Canine LHR lhcgr (Catalog #AAA7262017) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7262017 ELISA Kit recognizes Canine LHR. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Luteinizing Hormone Receptor, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
