Principle of the Assay||This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for LCP1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any LCP1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for LCP1 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of LCP1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Uniprot Description

L-plastin: Actin-binding protein. Plays a role in the activation of T-cells in response to costimulation through TCR/CD3 and CD2 or CD28. Modulates the cell surface expression of IL2RA/CD25 and CD69. Monomer. Interacts with AIF1. Detected in intestinal microvilli, hair cell stereocilia, and fibroblast filopodia, in spleen and other lymph node-containing organs. Expressed in peripheral blood T- lymphocytes, neutrophils, monocytes, B-lymphocytes, and myeloid cells.

Protein type: Actin-binding; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Cellular Component: extracellular space; focal adhesion; actin filament bundle; actin filament; cytosol; actin cytoskeleton; ruffle; cytoskeleton; cell projection; membrane; cytoplasm; plasma membrane; stress fiber; cell junction; phagocytic cup; filopodium

Molecular Function: actin filament binding; identical protein binding; protein binding; metal ion binding; calcium ion binding; actin binding

Product Notes

The Mouse LCP1 lcp1 (Catalog #AAA906543) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA906543 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse LCP1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "lymphocyte cytosolic protein 1 (L-plastin), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
