Preparation and Storage
Storage: Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Store at 2-8 degree C for one month.
Aliquot and store at -80 degree C for 12 months.
Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

NCBI Description

serine protease; involved in processing of bioactive peptides [RGD, Feb 2006]

Uniprot Description

KLK7: May catalyze the degradation of intercellular cohesive structures in the cornified layer of the skin in the continuous shedding of cells from the skin surface. Specific for amino acid residues with aromatic side chains in the P1 position. SCCE cleaves insulin B chain at '6-Leu-|-Cys-7', '16-Tyr-|-Leu-17', '25-Phe-|-Tyr-26' and '26-Tyr-|-Thr-27'. Could play a role in the activation of precursors to inflammatory cytokines. Belongs to the peptidase S1 family. Kallikrein subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Protease; Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted; EC 3.4.21.35

Cellular Component: apical part of cell; acrosome; nucleus

Molecular Function: serine-type endopeptidase activity; endopeptidase activity

Biological Process: positive regulation of acute inflammatory response; positive regulation of apoptosis; positive regulation of cell proliferation; proteolysis; response to nutrient

Product Notes

The KLK7 klk7 (Catalog #AAA2012354) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Recombinant Kallikrein 7 (KLK7) reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Kallikrein 7 (KLK7) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE, WB, ELISA, IP, CoIP, Purification, Amine Reactive Labeling. (May be suitable for use in other assays to be determined by the end user.) . Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KLK7 klk7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Kallikrein 7 (KLK7), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
