Testing Data (TSU-68 (SU6668) has significant antitumor activity against many types of tumor xenograft explants in athymic mice. TSU-68 (SU6668) inhibits angiogenesis through several mechanisms, including the induction of apoptosis in vascular endothelial cells and tumor cells, resulting in perturbing existing tumor vascular function and also inhibiting newly synthesis angiogenesis for the tumor growth. TSU-68 (SU6668) has the effect on blocking the tyrosine kinase phosphorylation of the receptors not only for VEGF but also for PDGF and bFGF, and inhibiting angiogenesis. Studies using in vivo experimental models of cancers such as colon cancer have reported that TSU-68 (SU6668) has the effect on inhibiting tumor proliferation and metastasis through the inhibition of tumor angiogenesis. In vitro TSU-68 (SU6668) does not influence the proliferation of ovarian cancer cells. The administration of TSU-68 (SU6668) does not influence the concentration of VEGF or PDGF in the ascetic fi‚uid of mice with peritoneal dissemination of ovarian cancer. TSU-68 (SU6668) does not act directly on VEGF or PDGF, but binds to their receptors, thereby inhibiting their phosphorylation. [1][2])

Product Notes

The TSU-68 (Catalog #AAA8506250) is an Inhibitor and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TSU-68, Inhibitor" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
