Interleukin 17D is a disulfide-linked homodimer belonging to the IL-17 family of proinflammatory cytokines. Members belonging to this family share conserved features of cysteine-knot structures but differ in their N-terminal regions. The T-helper cell produced IL17 family is inducible by IL15 and IL23, and IL17D induces expression of endothelial IL6, IL8, and GM-CSF, and inhibits hemopoiesis of myeloid progenitor cells.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that shares the sequence similarity with IL17. The treatment of endothelial cells with this cytokine has been shown to stimulate the production of other cytokines including IL6, IL8 and CSF2/ GM-CSF. The increased expression of IL8 induced by this cytokine was found to be NF-kappa B-dependent. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes
The IL17D il17d (Catalog #AAA517117) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's IL17D can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Cell Assay. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL17D il17d for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IL17D, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
