Related Product Information for PTPN22 elisa kit
Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of human Tyrosine Protein Phosphate Non-receptor Type 22 (also known as PTPN22) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.

Principles of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with human PTPN22 antibody. PTPN22 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated human PTPN22 Antibody is added and binds to PTPN22 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated PTPN22 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of human PTPN22. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes of member of the non-receptor class 4 subfamily of the protein-tyrosine phosphatase family. The encoded protein is a lymphoid-specific intracellular phosphatase that associates with the molecular adapter protein CBL and may be involved in regulating CBL function in the T-cell receptor signaling pathway. Mutations in this gene may be associated with a range of autoimmune disorders including Type 1 Diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus and Graves' disease. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009]

Uniprot Description

Acts as negative regulator of T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling by direct dephosphorylation of the Src family kinases LCK and FYN, ITAMs of the TCRz/CD3 complex, as well as ZAP70, VAV, VCP and other key signaling molecules (PubMed:16461343, PubMed:18056643). Associates with and probably dephosphorylates CBL. Dephosphorylates LCK at its activating 'Tyr-394' residue (PubMed:21719704). Dephosphorylates ZAP70 at its activating 'Tyr-493' residue (PubMed:16461343). Dephosphorylates the immune system activator SKAP2 (PubMed:21719704). Positively regulates toll-like receptor (TLR)-induced type 1 interferon production (PubMed:23871208). Promotes host antiviral responses mediated by type 1 interferon (). Regulates NOD2-induced pro-inflammatory cytokine secretion and autophagy (PubMed:23991106).

Product Notes

The Human PTPN22 ptpn22 (Catalog #AAA166782) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA166782 ELISA Kit recognizes Human PTPN22. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Tyrosine Protein Phosphate non-receptor type 22 (PTPN22), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
