Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for TAPBP elisa kit
Description: This Human Tapasin (TAPBP) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate TAPBP in samples. An antibody specific for TAPBP has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any TAPBP present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for TAPBP is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of TAPBP bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: TAPBP encodes a transmembrane glycoprotein which mediates interaction between newly assembled major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules and the transporter associated with antigen processing (TAP), which is required for the transport of antigenic peptides across the endoplasmic reticulum membrane. This interaction is essential for optimal peptide loading on the MHC class I molecule. Up to four complexes of MHC class I and TAPBP may be bound to a single TAP molecule. Tapasin contains a C-terminal double-lysine motif (KKKAE) known to maintain membrane proteins in the endoplasmic reticulum. This gene lies within the major histocompatibility complex on chromosome 6. Alternative splicing results in three transcript variants encoding different isoforms.

Product Notes

The Human TAPBP tapbp (Catalog #AAA9714139) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9714139 ELISA Kit recognizes Human TAPBP. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Tapasin (TAPBP), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
