Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for QSOX2 elisa kit
Description: This Human Sulfhydryl oxidase 2 (QSOX2) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate QSOX2 in samples. An antibody specific for QSOX2 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any QSOX2 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for QSOX2 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of QSOX2 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: QSOX2 is a member of the sulfhydryl oxidase/quiescin-6 (Q6) family (QSOX1) that regulates the sensitization of neuroblastoma cells for IFN-gamma (IFNG)-induced cell death. The deduced 698-amino acid protein has a calculated molecular mass of 77.3 kD and contains a signal sequence, a protein-disulfide-isomerase (PDI)-type thioredoxin domain, a yeast ERV1 (GFER) domain, a conserved N-glycosylation motif, Q6-like regions, and a C-terminal transmembrane domain. Northern blot analysis of adult and fetal tissues detected 7.5- and 4.6-kb transcripts in all fetal and adult tissues tested with highest expression detected in pancreas, brain, placenta, kidney, heart, and fetal tissues compared to lung, liver, and skeletal muscle. QSOX2 is a membrane-associated protein localized to the plasma membrane in neuroblastoma cells.

NCBI Description

QSOX2 is a member of the sulfhydryl oxidase/quiescin-6 (Q6) family (QSOX1; MIM 603120) that regulates the sensitization of neuroblastoma cells for IFN-gamma (IFNG; MIM 147570)-induced cell death (Wittke et al., 2003 [PubMed 14633699]).[supplied by OMIM, Jun 2009]

Uniprot Description

QSCN6L1: Catalyzes the oxidation of sulfhydryl groups in peptide and protein thiols to disulfides with the reduction of oxygen to hydrogen peroxide. May contribute to disulfide bond formation in a variety of secreted proteins. Also seems to play a role in regulating the sensitization of neuroblastoma cells for interferon-gamma-induced apoptosis. Belongs to the quiescin-sulfhydryl oxidase (QSOX) family.

Protein type: Apoptosis; EC 1.8.3.2; Membrane protein, integral; Oxidoreductase

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 9q34.3

Cellular Component: nuclear membrane; extracellular region; integral to membrane; plasma membrane

Product Notes

The Human QSOX2 qsox2 (Catalog #AAA9714660) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9714660 ELISA Kit recognizes Human QSOX2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Sulfhydryl Oxidase 2 (QSOX2), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
