Human Ras Homolog Gene Family, Member A (RHOA) ELISA Kit | RHOA elisa kit
Human Ras Homolog Gene Family, Member A (RHOA) ELISA Kit
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.
Principle of the Assay: The microplate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to RHOA. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microplate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to RHOA. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain RHOA, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzymeconjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of RHOA in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the Rho family of small GTPases, which cycle between inactive GDP-bound and active GTP-bound states and function as molecular switches in signal transduction cascades. Rho proteins promote reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton and regulate cell shape, attachment, and motility. Overexpression of this gene is associated with tumor cell proliferation and metastasis. Multiple alternatively spliced variants have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2015]
Uniprot Description
RHOA: a small G protein of the Rho family. Regulates a signal transduction pathway linking plasma membrane receptors to the assembly of focal adhesions and actin stress fibers. Controls the reorganization of actins into podosomes. Serves as a target for the yopT cysteine peptidase from Yersinia pestis, vector of the plague, and Yersinia pseudotuberculosis, which causes gastrointestinal disorders.

Product Notes
The Human RHOA rhoa (Catalog #AAA2023112) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2023112 ELISA Kit recognizes Human RHOA. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Ras Homolog Gene Family, Member A (RHOA), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
