Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human PLAP/ALPP. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human PLAP/ALPP and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human PLAP/ALPP, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human PLAP/ALPP. You can calculate the concentration of Human PLAP/ALPPin the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

Uniprot Description
Rb: retinoblastoma tumor suppressor protein regulates cell proliferation by controlling progression through the G1-phase restriction point. Has three distinct binding domains and interacts with regulatory proteins including the E2F family of transcription factors, c-Abl tyrosine kinase and proteins with a conserved LXCXE motif. Cell cycle-dependent phosphorylation by Cdks inhibits Rb target binding, thus allowing cell cycle progression. Recruits and targets histone methyltransferase suv39h1 leading to epigenetic transcriptional repression.

Product Notes
The Human PRB rb1 (Catalog #AAA2508443) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2508443 ELISA Kit recognizes Human PRB. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PRB, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
