Principle of the Assay: 2, 5-OAS ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-2, 5-OAS antibody and an 2, 5-OAS-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with 2, 5-OAS-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the 2, 5-OAS concentration since 2, 5-OAS from samples and 2, 5-OAS-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-2, 5-OAS antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by 2, 5-OAS from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind 2, 5-OAS-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The 2, 5-OAS concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description

Olfactory receptors interact with odorant molecules in the nose, to initiate a neuronal response that triggers the perception of a smell. The olfactory receptor proteins are members of a large family of G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCR) arising from single coding-exon genes. Olfactory receptors share a 7-transmembrane domain structure with many neurotransmitter and hormone receptors and are responsible for the recognition and G protein-mediated transduction of odorant signals. The olfactory receptor gene family is the largest in the genome. The nomenclature assigned to the olfactory receptor genes and proteins for this organism is independent of other organisms. Product Notes

The Human OR10A2 or10a2 (Catalog #AAA756369) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA756369 ELISA Kit recognizes Human OR10A2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Olfactory receptor 10A2 (OR10A2), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
