Human LIM Domain Transcription Factor LMO4 (LMO4) ELISA Kit | LMO4 elisa kit
Human LIM Domain Transcription Factor LMO4 (LMO4) ELISA Kit
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Background: LMO4 was expressed predominantly in the lobuloalveoli of the mammary gland during pregnancy. Consistent with a role in proliferation, forced expression of this gene inhibited differentiation of mammary epithelial cells. Overexpression of LMO4 mRNA was observed in 5 of 10 human breast cancer cell lines. Moreover, in situ hybridization analysis of 177 primary invasive breast carcinomas revealed overexpression of LMO4 in 56% of specimens. Immunohistochemistry confirmed overexpression in a high percentage (62%) of tumors. These studies implied a role for LMO4 in maintaining proliferation of mammary epithelium and suggested that deregulation of this gene may contribute to breast tumorigenesis.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a cysteine-rich protein that contains two LIM domains but lacks a DNA-binding homeodomain. The encoded protein may play a role as a transcriptional regulator or as an oncogene. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2008]
Uniprot Description
LMO4: Probable transcriptional factor.
Protein type: Transcription factor
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1p22.3
Cellular Component: transcription factor complex
Molecular Function: zinc ion binding; transcription factor activity; transcription factor binding
Biological Process: transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; thymus development; ventral spinal cord interneuron differentiation; neural tube closure; regulation of cell activation; regulation of cell fate specification; spinal cord association neuron differentiation; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; spinal cord motor neuron differentiation; negative regulation of protein complex assembly

Product Notes
The Human LMO4 lmo4 (Catalog #AAA9716037) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9716037 ELISA Kit recognizes Human LMO4. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "LIM Domain Transcription Factor LMO4 (LMO4), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
