Related Product Information for FPR2 elisa kit
Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Human FPA concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human FPA. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human FPA and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human FPA, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human FPA. You can calculate the concentration of Human FPA in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

Uniprot Description

FPR2: Low affinity receptor for N-formyl-methionyl peptides, which are powerful neutrophils chemotactic factors. Binding of FMLP to the receptor causes activation of neutrophils. This response is mediated via a G-protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. The activation of LXA4R could result in an anti-inflammatory outcome counteracting the actions of proinflammatory signals such as LTB4 (leukotriene B4). Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; GPCR, family 1; Membrane protein, multi-pass; Receptor, GPCR; Membrane protein, integral

Cellular Component: membrane; integral to membrane; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity; signal transducer activity; RAGE receptor binding; N-formyl peptide receptor activity; receptor activity

Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; G-protein signaling, coupled to IP3 second messenger (phospholipase C activating); chemotaxis; signal transduction

Product Notes

The Human FPR2 fpr2 (Catalog #AAA2508157) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2508157 ELISA Kit recognizes Human FPR2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FPR2, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
