Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for DLGAP4 elisa kit
Description: This Human Disks large-associated protein 4 (DLGAP4) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate DLGAP4 in samples. An antibody specific for DLGAP4 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any DLGAP4 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for DLGAP4 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of DLGAP4 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: DLGAP4 is a membrane-associated guanylate kinase found at the postsynaptic density in neuronal cells. It is a signaling molecule that can interact with potassium channels and receptors, as well as other signaling molecules. The protein encoded by this gene can interact with PSD-95 through its guanylate kinase domain and may be involved in clustering PSD-95 in the postsynaptic density region. The encoded protein is one of at least four similar proteins that have been found. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. SAPAPs are specifically expressed in neuronal cells and enriched in the PSD fraction. SAPAPs induce the enrichment of PSD-95/SAP90 to the plasma membrane in transfected cells.

NCBI Description

The product of this gene is a membrane-associated guanylate kinase found at the postsynaptic density in neuronal cells. Uniprot Description

SAPAP4: May play a role in the molecular organization of synapses and neuronal cell signaling. Could be an adapter protein linking ion channel to the subsynaptic cytoskeleton. May induce enrichment of PSD-95/SAP90 at the plasma membrane. Belongs to the SAPAP family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, peripheral; Adaptor/scaffold

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 20q11.23

Product Notes

The Human DLGAP4 dlgap4 (Catalog #AAA9715685) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9715685 ELISA Kit recognizes Human DLGAP4. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Disks Large-Associated Protein 4 (DLGAP4), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
