Related Product Information for DAB1 elisa kit
Intended Uses: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for the in vitro quantitative measurement of DAB1 in human tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to DAB1. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody preparation specific to DAB1. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain DAB1, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of DAB1 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

The laminar organization of multiple neuronal types in the cerebral cortex is required for normal cognitive function. In mice, the disabled-1 gene plays a central role in brain development, directing the migration of cortical neurons past previously formed neurons to reach their proper layer. This gene is similar to disabled-1, and the protein encoded by this gene is thought to be a signal transducer that interacts with protein kinase pathways to regulate neuronal positioning in the developing brain. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2017]

Uniprot Description

Adapter molecule functioning in neural development. May regulate SIAH1 activity.

Product Notes

The Human DAB1 dab1 (Catalog #AAA457014) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA457014 ELISA Kit recognizes Human DAB1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Disabled Homolog 1 (DAB1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
