Human
Synonyms
Cytochrome b 245 light chain (CYBA); Human Cytochrome b 245 light chain (CYBA) ELISA Kit; CYBA elisa kit
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Reactivity
Human
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of CYBA. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between CYBA and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between CYBA and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
Samples
Serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate
Assay Type
Quantitative Competitive
Sensitivity
0.1 ng/mL
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for CYBA elisa kit
Intended Uses: This CYBA ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Human CYBA. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or test applications!

Principle of the Assay: CYBA ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing an anti-CYBA antibody and an CYBA-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with CYBA-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the CYBA concentration since CYBA from samples and CYBA-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-CYBA antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by CYBA from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind CYBA-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The CYBA concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description

Cytochrome b is comprised of a light chain (alpha) and a heavy chain (beta). This gene encodes the light, alpha subunit which has been proposed as a primary component of the microbicidal oxidase system of phagocytes. Mutations in this gene are associated with autosomal recessive chronic granulomatous disease (CGD), that is characterized by the failure of activated phagocytes to generate superoxide, which is important for the microbicidal activity of these cells. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

CYBA: Critical component of the membrane-bound oxidase of phagocytes that generates superoxide. Associates with NOX3 to form a functional NADPH oxidase constitutively generating superoxide. Defects in CYBA are a cause of chronic granulomatous disease autosomal recessive cytochrome-b-negative (ARCGD). Chronic granulomatous disease is a genetically heterogeneous disorder characterized by the inability of neutrophils and phagocytes to kill microbes that they have ingested. Patients suffer from life-threatening bacterial/fungal infections. Belongs to the p22phox family.

Product Notes

The Human CYBA cyba (Catalog #AAA7244670) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7244670 ELISA Kit recognizes Human CYBA. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cytochrome b 245 light chain (CYBA), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
