Related Product Information for C1qC elisa kit
Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of human Complement Component1,QSubcomponent C (also known as C1qC) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.

Principles of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with human C1qC antibody. C1qC present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated human C1qC Antibody is added and binds to C1qC in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated C1qC antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of human C1qC. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes the C-chain polypeptide of serum complement subcomponent C1q, which associates with C1r and C1s to yield the first component of the serum complement system. C1q is composed of 18 polypeptide chains which include 6 A-chains, 6 B-chains, and 6 C-chains. Each chain contains an N-terminal collagen-like region and a C-terminal C1q globular domain. C1q deficiency is associated with lupus erythematosus and glomerulonephritis. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2016]

Uniprot Description

C1q associates with the proenzymes C1r and C1s to yield C1, the first component of the serum complement system. The collagen-like regions of C1q interact with the Ca2+-dependent C1r2C1s2 proenzyme complex, and efficient activation of C1 takes place on interaction of the globular heads of C1q with the Fc regions of IgG or IgM antibody present in immune complexes.

Product Notes

The Human C1qC c1qc (Catalog #AAA167174) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA167174 ELISA Kit recognizes Human C1qC. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ComplementComponent1, QSubcomponent C (C1qC), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
