Preparation and Storage
For unopened kit, all reagents should be kept according to the labels on vials. The TMB Substrate, Wash Buffer, Stop Solution should be stored at 4 degree C. All others should be stored at -20 degree C.

Intended Uses: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of CLASP2 in human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.
Principle of the Assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to CLASP2. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody preparation specific to CLASP2. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain CLASP2, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of CLASP2 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

Uniprot Description
Microtubule plus-end tracking protein that promotes the stabilization of dynamic microtubules (PubMed:26003921). Involved in the nucleation of noncentrosomal microtubules originating from the trans-Golgi network (TGN). Required for the polarization of the cytoplasmic microtubule arrays in migrating cells towards the leading edge of the cell. May act at the cell cortex to enhance the frequency of rescue of depolymerizing microtubules by attaching their plus-ends to cortical platforms composed of ERC1 and PHLDB2 (PubMed:16824950). This cortical microtubule stabilizing activity is regulated at least in part by phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase signaling. Also performs a similar stabilizing function at the kinetochore which is essential for the bipolar alignment of chromosomes on the mitotic spindle (PubMed:16866869, PubMed:16914514). Acts as a mediator of ERBB2-dependent stabilization of microtubules at the cell cortex.
