Human
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Human CCKAR. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Human CCKAR and analogues was observed. Note: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross- reactivity detection between Human CCKAR and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist.

Related Product Information for CCKAR elisa kit
Description: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of CCKAR in human serum, plasma and other biological fluids
Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human CCKAR. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and bound by the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human CCKAR and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human CCKAR, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human CCKAR. You can calculate the concentration of Human CCKAR in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a G-protein coupled receptor that binds non-sulfated members of the cholecystokinin (CCK) family of peptide hormones. This receptor is a major physiologic mediator of pancreatic enzyme secretion and smooth muscle contraction of the gallbladder and stomach. In the central and peripheral nervous system this receptor regulates satiety and the release of beta-endorphin and dopamine. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

CCKAR: Receptor for cholecystokinin. Mediates pancreatic growth and enzyme secretion, smooth muscle contraction of the gall bladder and stomach. Has a 1000-fold higher affinity for CCK rather than for gastrin. It modulates feeding and dopamine-induced behavior in the central and peripheral nervous system. This receptor mediates its action by association with G proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, multi-pass; GPCR, family 1; Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, GPCR

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 4p15.2

Cellular Component: integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: cholecystokinin receptor activity; peptide binding

Biological Process: elevation of cytosolic calcium ion concentration; axonogenesis; digestion; forebrain development; neuron migration; regulation of hormone secretion; feeding behavior; G-protein signaling, coupled to IP3 second messenger (phospholipase C activating); response to nutrient; cellular response to hormone stimulus

Product Notes

The Human CCKAR cckar (Catalog #AAA2500378) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2500378 ELISA Kit recognizes Human CCKAR. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CCKAR, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
