Related Product Information for CRTAC1 elisa kit
Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of Human Cartilage acidic protein 1 (also known as CRTAC1) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, Ascites, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Human CRTAC1 antibody. CRTAC1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human CRTAC1 Antibody is added and binds to CRTAC1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CRTAC1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human CRTAC1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Uniprot Description

CRTAC1: a glycosylated extracellular matrix protein that is found in the interterritorial matrix of articular deep zone cartilage. This protein is used as a marker to distinguish chondrocytes from osteoblasts and mesenchymal stem cells in culture. The presence of FG-GAP motifs and an RGD integrin-binding motif suggests that this protein may be involved in cell-cell or cell-matrix interactions. Copy number alterations in this gene have been observed in neurofibromatosis type 1-associated glomus tumors. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Product Notes

The Human CRTAC1 crtac1 (Catalog #AAA1607355) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA1607355 ELISA Kit recognizes Human CRTAC1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cartilage acidic protein 1, CRTAC1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
