Canine Cartilage acidic protein 1 (CRTAC1) ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: CRTAC1 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a polyclonal anti-CRTAC1 antibody and an CRTAC1-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with CRTAC1-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the CRTAC1 concentration since CRTAC1 from samples and CRTAC1-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-CRTAC1 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by CRTAC1 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind CRTAC1-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The CRTAC1 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a glycosylated extracellular matrix protein that is found in the interterritorial matrix of articular deep zone cartilage. This protein is used as a marker to distinguish chondrocytes from osteoblasts and mesenchymal stem cells in culture. The presence of FG-GAP motifs and an RGD integrin-binding motif suggests that this protein may be involved in cell-cell or cell-matrix interactions. Copy number alterations in this gene have been observed in neurofibromatosis type 1-associated glomus tumors. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. The Canine CRTAC1 crtac1 (Catalog #AAA7229762) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7229762 ELISA Kit recognizes Canine CRTAC1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cartilage acidic protein 1 (CRTAC1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
