Human ATP binding cassette sub family B member 5 (ABCB5) ELISA Kit | ABCB5 elisa kit
Human ATP binding cassette sub family B member 5 (ABCB5) ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay||ABCB5 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-ABCB5 antibody and an ABCB5-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with ABCB5-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the ABCB5 concentration since ABCB5 from samples and ABCB5-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-ABCB5 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by ABCB5 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind ABCB5-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The ABCB5 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
ABCB5 belongs to the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter superfamily of integral membrane proteins. These proteins participate in ATP-dependent transmembrane transport of structurally diverse molecules ranging from small ions, sugars, and peptides to more complex organic molecules (Chen et al., 2005 [PubMed 15760339]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]
Uniprot Description
ABCB5: Plasma membrane transporter able to mediate efflux from cells of the rhodamine dye and of the therapeutic drug doxorubicin. Responsible for the resistance to doxorubicin of a subset of malignant melanomas. Belongs to the ABC transporter superfamily. ABCB family. Multidrug resistance exporter (TC 3.A.1.201) subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The Human ABCB5 abcb5 (Catalog #AAA7228707) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7228707 ELISA Kit recognizes Human ABCB5. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ATP binding cassette sub family B member 5 (ABCB5), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
