Related Product Information for ADRb1 elisa kit
Intended Uses: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for the in vitro quantitative measurement of ADRb1 in human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to ADRb1. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody preparation specific to ADRb1. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain ADRb1, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of ADRb1 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

The adrenergic receptors (subtypes alpha 1, alpha 2, beta 1, and beta 2) are a prototypic family of guanine nucleotide binding regulatory protein-coupled receptors that mediate the physiological effects of the hormone epinephrine and the neurotransmitter norepinephrine. Specific polymorphisms in this gene have been shown to affect the resting heart rate and can be involved in heart failure. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

ADRB1: a GPCR-coupled 7 transmembrane receptor that binds epinephrine and norepinephrine with approximately equal affinity. Mediates the catecholamine-induced activation of adenylate cyclase through the action of G proteins. Interacts with PIST and PSD-95. Localized at the plasma membrane and in the Golgi upon PIST overexpression. Homologous desensitization of the receptor is mediated by its phosphorylation by beta-adrenergic receptor kinase.

Product Notes

The Human ADRb1 adrb1 (Catalog #AAA456826) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA456826 ELISA Kit recognizes Human ADRb1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Adrenergic Receptor Beta 1 (ADRb1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
