Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for PDGFC clia kit
The microplate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with a monoclonal antibody specific to Platelet Derived Growth Factor C (PDGFC). A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled Platelet Derived Growth Factor C (PDGFC) and unlabeled Platelet Derived Growth Factor C (PDGFC) (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to Platelet Derived Growth Factor C (PDGFC). After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of Platelet Derived Growth Factor C (PDGFC) in the sample. Then the mixture of substrate A and B is added to generate glow light emission kinetics. Upon plate development, the intensity of the emitted light is reverse proportional to the Platelet Derived Growth Factor C (PDGFC) level in the sample or standard.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the platelet-derived growth factor family. The four members of this family are mitogenic factors for cells of mesenchymal origin and are characterized by a core motif of eight cysteines. This gene product appears to form only homodimers. It differs from the platelet-derived growth factor alpha and beta polypeptides in having an unusual N-terminal domain, the CUB domain. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2010]

Uniprot Description

PDGFC: Growth factor that plays an essential role in the regulation of embryonic development, cell proliferation, cell migration, survival and chemotaxis. Potent mitogen and chemoattractant for cells of mesenchymal origin. Required for normal skeleton formation during embryonic development, especially for normal development of the craniofacial skeleton and for normal development of the palate. Required for normal skin morphogenesis during embryonic development. Plays an important role in wound healing, where it appears to be involved in three stages: inflammation, proliferation and remodeling. Plays an important role in angiogenesis and blood vessel development. Involved in fibrotic processes, in which transformation of interstitial fibroblasts into myofibroblasts plus collagen deposition occurs. The CUB domain has mitogenic activity in coronary artery smooth muscle cells, suggesting a role beyond the maintenance of the latency of the PDGF domain. In the nucleus, PDGFC seems to have additional function. Belongs to the PDGF/VEGF growth factor family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The Human PDGFC pdgfc (Catalog #AAA2000615) is a CLIA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2000615 CLIA Kit recognizes Human PDGFC. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Platelet Derived Growth Factor C (PDGFC), CLIA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
