Related Product Information for DPT clia kit
Intended Uses: This CLIA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of DPT concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This kit uses Sandwich-CLIA as the method. The micro CLIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to DPT. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro CLIA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for DPT and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain DPT, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear fluorescence. The Relative light unit (RLU) value is measured spectrophotometrically by the Chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer. The RLU value is positively associated with the concentration of DPT. You can calculate the concentration of DPT in the samples by comparing the RLU value of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

Dermatopontin is an extracellular matrix protein with possible functions in cell-matrix interactions and matrix assembly. The protein is found in various tissues and many of its tyrosine residues are sulphated. Dermatopontin is postulated to modify the behavior of TGF-beta through interaction with decorin. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

DPT: Seems to mediate adhesion by cell surface integrin binding. May serve as a communication link between the dermal fibroblast cell surface and its extracellular matrix environment. Enhances TGFB1 activity. Inhibits cell proliferation. Accelerates collagen fibril formation, and stabilizes collagen fibrils against low-temperature dissociation. Belongs to the dermatopontin family.

Protein type: Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1q12-q23

Cellular Component: extracellular matrix; extracellular space; proteinaceous extracellular matrix

Biological Process: negative regulation of cell proliferation; collagen fibril organization; cell adhesion

Product Notes

The Human DPT dpt (Catalog #AAA2532576) is a CLIA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2532576 CLIA Kit recognizes Human DPT. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DPT (Dermatopontin), CLIA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
