Related Product Information for Ddr1 active protein
Protein Construction: Recombinant Mouse Discoidin domain-containing receptor 2 is produced by our Mammalian expression system and the target gene encoding Gln24-Arg399 is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus.

Background: Discoidin domain receptor-2 (DDR2) is a cell surface tyrosine kinase receptor that can be activated by soluble collagen and has been implicated in diverse physiological functions including organism growth and wound repair. DDR2 binds to and is activated by collagen I, II, III, V, and X, with the notable exception of basement membrane collagen IV. DDR2 is expressed in connective tissues arising from embryonic mesoderm. DDR2 regulates cell proliferation, cell adhesion, migration, and extracellular matrix remodeling.

Uniprot Description

Tyrosine kinase that functions as cell surface receptor for fibrillar collagen and regulates cell attachment to the extracellular matrix, remodeling of the extracellular matrix, cell migration, differentiation, survival and cell proliferation. Collagen binding triggers a signaling pathway that involves SRC and leads to the activation of MAP kinases. Regulates remodeling of the extracellular matrix by up-regulation of the matrix metalloproteinases MMP2, MMP7 and MMP9, and thereby facilitates cell migration and wound healing, but also tumor cell invasion. Promotes smooth muscle cell migration, and thereby contributes to arterial wound healing. Phosphorylates PTPN11 (). Required for normal blastocyst implantation during pregnancy, for normal mammary gland differentiation and normal lactation. Required for normal ear morphology and normal hearing.

Product Notes

The Ddr1 ddr1 (Catalog #AAA2556749) is an Active Protein produced from Human Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Discoidin Domain-Containing Receptor 2, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
