This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti- BNIP1 Antibody, made

Target Description: This gene is a member of the BCL2/adenovirus E1B 19 kd-interacting protein (BNIP) family. It interacts with the E1B 19 kDa protein, which protects cells from virally-induced cell death. The encoded protein also interacts with E1B 19 kDa-like sequences of BCL2, another apoptotic protector. In addition, this protein is involved in vesicle transport into the endoplasmic reticulum. Alternative splicing of this gene results in four protein products with identical N- and C-termini.

Uniprot Description

BNIP1: SNARE that may be involved in targeting and fusion of Golgi-derived retrograde transport vesicles with the ER. Required for maintenance of ER network. Implicated in the suppression of cell death. May be involved in mitochondrial autophagy. Belongs to the SEC20 family. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The BNIP1 bnip1 (Catalog #AAA3246649) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The BNIP1 Peptide - middle region reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: DNLEKAELLQ GGDLLRQRKT TKESLAQTSS TITESLMGIS RMMAQQVQQS. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "BNIP1, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
